Meet Becky Jake...
"I must tell of the amazing things
God has done in my life. Until everyone understands
that they matter to God, and that He has a
wonderful plan for their life, I will continue
to share the Good News of hope and happiness
through my music." Becky
Jake, Lake Forest, CA
Becky Jake travels
in concert worldwide. She recently appeared
at the largest evangelical church in France
selling out all her CDs while there. Her single,
"Island of Stability" has been heard on radio
stations nationwide, and has charted on several
Country Gospel music charts. Becky Jake is
a long time member of Pastor Rick Warren's,
Saddleback Valley Community Church in Lake
Forest, California. "I wrote many of the songs
on my debut CD right off my weekend sermon
notes." Her unique writing style is appealing
even to those who might not normally sit in
church on Sunday.
On
a small farm, in the tiny town of Hiram, Ohio,
Becky Jake has fond childhood memories of
catching lightning bugs and sleeping in the
hayloft or under the weeping willow tree on
lazy summer nights. She also has memories
of hard work in her parent's huge vegetable
garden. She accepted Christ at a home Bible
study when she was sixteen. The Spring of
her senior year at the University of California-Irvine,
she felt called into full-time ministry. After
graduating, she met concert piano artist,
Enoch Fernando. With a common vision to serve
God in music, they married in 1981. Three
years later they began their full time music
ministry. Having studied under contemporary
vocal coach and author, Thomas Apell, Becky
Jake is a trained vocalist. She is a member
of The Gospel Music Assoc., Southern Gospel
Music Guild, The Music City Christian Fellowship,
The Southern Gospel Music Assoc., and The
Nashville Songwriters Assoc. Intl.
Becky Jake's concerts help support missionary work in India.
